Selena Gomez wants to collaborate with AR Rahman for a Bollywood film!

That day definitely isn’t that far when Selena Gomez will sing for a Bollywood film! The beauty, who has sung some amazing songs like Bad Liar, Hands To Myself, Good for you and the latest being Back To You, just expressed her desire to team up with AR Rahman. “I have been following a few musicians in India and I believe they are wonderful. I like AR Rahman’s work. He is a global figure today. I would love to sing or be part of his compositions. I think it would be beautiful to sing for [a] Bollywood [movie]”, said Selena in her recent interaction with Mid Day. A R Rahman, we hope you are listening, now that Selena has made her love for you, loud and clear.

Reminds us of this interview when Selena had mentioned about her love for the Hindu culture when she was questioned for a sporting a bindi during a concert. She had said, “My hairstylist and my makeup artist are actually really big into the whole culture—they’ve been around, they’ve traveled, they’ve gotten me into various books. I’ve been traveling, too. It’s been really fun to explore that because it’s a very different view and it’s such a beautiful culture.”

Selena Gomez is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation, for which she has lent her voiceover. The film, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky also features Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Kevin James, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, Molly Shannon, Fran Drescher, and Mel Brooks.

Here is a list of some Bollywood films which spoke about the subject of homosexuality openly:

FIRE – 1996

The characters of Shabana Azmi and Nandita Das who played sisters in law get into a relationship in the film.

Anurag Kashyap is known for exceptional films in low-budget and his films often leave a mark on the viewer’s mind forever. He is someone who has truly changed the face of Indian films. The director is known to make films on a shoestring budget, leaving audiences impressed with his incredible storytelling.

1. Gulaal

Gulaal is a multi-carrier film consisting of a talented ensemble of actors such as Kay Kay Menon, Piyush Mishra, Mahi Gill, Abhimanyu Singh, and Deepak Dobriyal.

It deals with important themes such as power, search for legitimacy and hypocrisy. This movie, quite like the 2007 release-Black Friday, received positive reviews from the critics and audiences.

2. DevD

 

Dev D was a modern day take on the 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s love story, Devdas. The immense content notwithstanding, critics and audiences applauded the performances of Mahi (as Paro), Abhay (as Dev), and Kalki (as Chandramukhi aka Chanda). It also bagged music composer, Amit Trivedi, the National Award for Best Music Direction that year.

3. Gangs Of Wasseypur

Gangs of Wasseypur or GOW Part 1 and 2 are films that people still can’t get over. Based on the issue of the coal mafias in Jharkhand, the film showcases the tough times, rat race between three rival families in the state.

 

Performances of the entire star cast, particularly Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Manoj Bajpayee and Richa Chaddha were highly appreciated by both critics and the audiences. The films were even nominated for the National Awards and Filmfare awards

4. Black Friday

Black Friday was originally to release in 2004, but its invective script delayed the process by three years, causing the film to hit screens in 2007. It won the Grand Jury Prize at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and was nominated for the Best Film (Golden Leopard) award at the Locarno International Film Festival.

5. That Girl In Yellow Boots

The story is about a British girl, essayed by Kalki Koechlin, who faces challenges when she leaves home in pursuit of her father in India.

Prince And Yuvika’s Wedding Details Out, The Couple To Have A Big Fat Wedding In October

Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary are one of the cutest couples on the small screen. The duo fell in love and got engaged last year and announced it on the social media with adorable pictures. The couple was seen flaunting their engagement rings and were looking all kinds of beautiful together.

Since the time they have been engaged, the couple did not stop themselves from talking about their marriage. However, the news about their marriage kept doing the rounds of the social media but none of the reports were confirmed.

Talking about their marriage plans, Prince had earlier quoted, “We will be getting married in October or November, this year. It will be a big fat Punjabi wedding. Destination is not yet decided but before this year ends, she will be my wife.”

While Yuvika had said, “It will be a grand wedding. Prince jo one sided pyaar itne zor shor se karta hai, toh imagine how much will he put in for his wedding.”

And now, the marriage details of Prince and Yuvika are finally out as their wedding day is drawing closer.

Earlier, there were reports about the couple tying the knot in mid-October this year. However, the dates and destination were not confirmed. And now, as per a leading web portal, Prince and Yuvika will be walking down the aisle on 12th October.

It will be a big fat Punjabi wedding with the functions spread across three days which will include Mehendi, Sangeet and Cocktail party. The functions will kick-start from 10th October.

The couple has booked Mumbai’s plush Sun N Sand Hotel where their big day is all set to take place. Apart from the main function which will take place in Mumbai, the couple will also host a grand reception in Prince’s hometown Chandigarh for their extended family and friends. The wedding cards will be distributed soon.

The reports further reveal that the wedding preparations are in full swing in both the families. The bride-to-be Yuvika is supervising every detail personally as Prince is busy shooting for Naagin 3. As per reports, the couple won’t be heading for their honeymoon soon after marriage due to their work commitments. The couple will head to an exotic location later.
